The race to space among several private companies is heating up. NASA announced today which astronauts will take flight on Boeing and SpaceX rockets in 2019 with the eventual goal of reaching the International Space Station, according to Bloomberg. As of right now, Elon Musk’s SpaceX is scheduled to launch its first crewed test flight in April 2019 while Boeing’s first crewed test is expected mid-year. Meanwhile, Reuters reports that Amazon’s Jeff Bezos is beefing up his rocket program known as Blue Origin to get its heavy-launch rocket into flight by 2020.

Peloton Raises $550 Million and Plans Netflix for Fitness Streaming

Video-streaming stationary bike company Peloton Interactive is raising a $550 million round of financing ahead of a potential public listing in 2019; the new round would value the company at $4.15 billion. Venture-capital firm TCV has led the funding round with $150 million. Last year, New York-based Peloton raised $325 million from investors. Peloton plans to launch a treadmill this fall.
